Patti McGee and Di Dootson Rose

Patti McGee was the 1965 Woman's first National Skateboard Champion, Santa Monica. McGee was also the first female pro skateboarder.[1] She was paid by Hobie/Vita Pak to travel and demonstrate the Hobie skateboard on a national level.[citation needed] This lasted almost a year until the craze subsided. Patti McGee was featured on the cover of Life magazine May 14, 1965 and the cover of the fourth issue of Skateboarder that same year.

In 2010, IASC held the "2nd Annual Skateboarding Hall of Fame Honors Six of the Most Influential Skateboarders of All Time." Patti McGee was the first female to ever be inducted into the Skateboarding Hall Of Fame.

Di Dootson Rose, former professional slalom skateboarder and now of the National Skateboard Review.

Patti's daughter Hailey (pictured at left) is an up and coming skater in her own right.

Many thanks to skate sisters representing, supporting, and showing their love for the Maui's & Hector's Dolphins.
