Concerned members of the community and from afar joined to participate in this massive “human Maui’s Dolphin” representing a powerful message in itself intended for the New Zealand government. This comes with anticipation of the Threat Management Plan (TMP)* for the critically endangered last 55 Maui’s Dolphins. Stand Up & Be Counted" posters with letters from Let's Face It Visual Petitions were hand delivered to the Prime Minister of NZ, Minister for Primary Industries, and Minister of Conservation.

* The TMP is expected to be announced within the next few weeks. Please help us reach our new goal of 6,900 "Let's Face It" Visual Petitions! Will you Pledge to collect 5, 10, 15 "Let's Face It" VPs this weekend? Spread the word: There are only 55 critically endangered Maui's Dolphins left urgently needing your help! Please participate in our "Let' Face It" Visual Petition campaign! Here's the 3 minute video about our campaign.

*Working in teams of 2-3 people works well for collecting many Visual Petitions. Here's how:

  • "Ambassadors": 1-2 persons briefly explain the situation of the Maui's & Hector's Dolphins and "Let's Face It" campaign.
  • "Photographer": When people agree to have their photo taken, person with camera will take photos while the Ambassadors go on to the next person to explain.

People love smiling to save Dolphins!!!
